It's no doubt that picasa desktop software is one of the best photo management tool having tons of features! Recently, Google rolled-out the Picasa 3.9 with some fantastic features for sharing on Google+, new photo editing effects, side by side editing, etc.

You can download the latest version of Picasa from picasa home page.

This post covers How to share the album/selected images from picasa. Follow the following steps for the same :

  1. You need to be signed-in in your google account before sharing on Google+.
  2. Select the album/images you would like to share on Google+
  3. Click the Share on Google+ button
  4. You will see a new pop-up window - where you can
    1. Add message
    2. Specify Image Size (Recommended - Best for web sharing)
      • Best for web sharing: Photos larger than 2048 pixels by 2048 pixels, will be automatically resized to 2048 pixels (on their longest edge). You get unlimited free photo uploads at this size.
      • Original Size: Uploads the image at the original image resolution (e.g. 4288 x 2848). If you choose to upload images at their original size, they'll count toward your free storage limits.
    3. Add circles/people from circles/email addresses to share with
You can also upload photos without sharing in Google+. Just make sure the +Add circles or people to share with box is empty and click Share button.

It's becoming clearer that Google is integrating Google+ into all of its products one by one.
