Pinterest - The Virtual Pin Board

I am very sure we all have used pin boards some or the other time, in our life, either to have some notes to be referred to in future, to view some things that we like, some reminders, some pics of our favorite super heroes some cool pics, some advertisements, some creative things we made, some comments, certificates, some special comments by teachers, birthday/get well soon/miss you cards, some of our dreams (say guitar pic, a cool Computer) and what not. You name something and you can put it on a Pin Board, because its yours, and it's you to decide what you wanna pin down there!!

Now, this is a Physical Pin Board, say at your home, or at your office. Also, it's just one, and takes a lot of place! But, think of a way, where in you have a virtual pin board or rather a number of virtual pin boards, you share things that you like categorically, organize them, enjoy them, follow some pin boards of your similar interests and much more.. Won't that be a real fun??

This is what Pinterest is all about! Pinterest gives you the power of making Virtual Pin Boards on the fly, sharing something you would like to, it's good in search too, so you can easily find people and pin boards of similar thoughts follow them for remaining updated and what not! It lets you share and organize all the beautiful things you find on web!

Pinterest gives a way broader concept than just using a normal pin board.

It's not just about sharing some pins on virtual boards -- Its like you got your own style, you got your own choice, keep it with you share what you like in a way you want to organize it -- And those who like your style or have the same style, will follow you and your pin board!

Pinterest was actually launched in March 2010 (as a closed beta version), but has recently got a lot of interest in the people around.
