Events by Google+ |
While Facebook events are aimed towards getting people together. Google+ helps people to plan beforehand as well as share experiences during and after event.
Follow these steps to create events:
- log in into your Google plus account and click Events in the left hand menu.
- Click on the Create Event button on the top-right corner. Then you will see a Create Event dialog as following image. Fill the details of your event like Event title, date, location, etc. In the Invite Names box enter individuals or circle(s) to whom you wish to invite.

- Click Event Options to set other options for your event.
- Basic Options
- You can set if the guests can invite other people.
- You can set if the guests can upload photos to the event.
- Create an online-only hangout - Google plus allows to create Google+ hangouts as events - so it's an online only gathering with your friends.
- Make the event public - By default, Google plus event are only visible to the invited people. But, you can make the public events from the Advanced options.
- Add additional fields to your event - If you'd like to add a YouTube link, transit/parking information, or other details to your event information, check the Show additional fields option.
- Select the appropriate theme that best represents the event you are planning for. Click Change theme at the top to choose the theme.
- Click Invite button. You will be directed to the new event's page.
- You can add photos by clicking Add Photos button on the top of event page from your computer, tablet or mobile devices. Uploaded photo will appear in the event wall.

- Google automatically creates a new album for all of the images you uploaded to an event. So, that way you can access these photos from albums page and from event page.
- Once you add more than one photo to the event, the Slideshow option will be enabled to allow you to play slideshow of all pics.
Android users can share pictures and videos in real time with Party Mode on the Android app. Turn on party mode when you are in event, and any photos and videos you take there can instantly be shared with everyone at the event. |
- You can share events by clicking the Share button in events page. It will make the event visible to people outside the guest list.
