QR Code stands for Quick Response Code. It is used to encode some sort of information like name, url, web address, email address, etc.

It is a 2 dimensional code that can be read by smart phones. To read a qr code, your cell phone needs a camera and an application to read it. You can find varieties of qr code readers from various appstores for different smartphone manufacturers. Once your qr code reader application reads the detail you can store it to your phone.

For an example, you like this article and you want to keep the url of this article in your smartphone. Now what will you do?? You might be thinking to type url to your cell phone. Rather doing such foolish, I would suggest you to generate a qr code (Generating online qr code hardly will take 30 secs!) and just scan it from your smartphone. There are two genuine reasons to do so:
  1. It might happen that you skip any single character from the url by mistake, but now the url is useless!
  2. It will take too much time and it's very boring to type as well.
QR Code is being used widely now a days, zoomin.com sells t-shirts with qr code; you just need to give details you wish to keep in qr code! If you're still unclear or having doubt on qr code's usability, then watch this nice video explained by a beautiful lady. ;)
